Formula 1 is an international championship in the full sense: 23 races in 2026, on several continents, with 11 teams on the grid. This page explains the 2026 season as it stands after 17 of 23 rounds, shows the points picture, and gives the schedule for the next race in Indian time.
Where the 2026 championship stands
After the Singapore Grand Prix on 11 October 2026, Kimi Antonelli of Mercedes leads the drivers' standings with 340 points. His team-mate George Russell is second on 238, a gap of 102. Lewis Hamilton of Ferrari is third on 229, Max Verstappen of Red Bull fourth on 221, and Charles Leclerc of Ferrari fifth on 215. Lando Norris of McLaren is sixth on 201.
That is a big lead with six rounds to go: United States, Mexico, Brazil, Las Vegas, Qatar and Abu Dhabi. The official F1 results page lists 150 points as the most that can still be taken, so the title is not settled yet.
Constructors: Mercedes far ahead
In the constructors' standings Mercedes have 578 points, Ferrari 444, McLaren 339 and Red Bull 332. Racing Bulls (100), Alpine (68), Haas (30), Audi (23), Williams (12), Aston Martin (7) and Cadillac (0) complete the 11-team table. Mercedes lead Ferrari by 134 points with 258 still available. According to the f1schedule.net standings table, Mercedes have won 11 of the 17 races and Ferrari two. Audi and Cadillac are both on the grid this season: Audi have 23 points, and Cadillac are yet to score.
Singapore: Verstappen wins
Verstappen won in Singapore for Red Bull, ahead of Leclerc by 7.3 seconds, with Antonelli third. Norris was fourth, Oscar Piastri fifth and Hamilton sixth. Russell finished ninth. Verstappen is 17 points behind Russell in the standings.

- Drivers win the drivers' title, and teams win the constructors' title, which is built from both cars' points.

What the table tells you
Antonelli has averaged 20 points a race, which is close to a podium finish every weekend. Mercedes' two drivers hold the first and second places, but Hamilton, Verstappen and Leclerc are separated by only 14 points, so the fight for third place is much tighter than the fight for the title. Norris at 201 points and Piastri at 138 are McLaren's two representatives, and McLaren trail Mercedes by 239 points in the constructors' table.
